A three-span arch bridge over the Stara Odra in Wrocław, connecting Plac Grunwaldzki with Park Szczytnicki, built in 1888-1890.
Szczytnicki Bridge (Most Szczytnicki) is a three-span arch bridge over the Stara Odra (Old Oder) in Wrocław, connecting the western edge of Plac Grunwaldzki with Park Szczytnicki. It formerly bore the names Fürstenbrücke and Adolf-Hitler-Brücke.
A bridge already existed on this spot in 1544, and in 1790 a two-span wooden bridge was built here. The current structure, built of clinker brick, was erected in 1888-1890. The bridge was rebuilt in 1933-1934 to a design by Günther Trauer, adding reinforced concrete elements, and then in 2006-2008 to a design by Zygmunt Burski, widening it with steel structures.
The bridge is 82.50 metres long and 22.30 metres wide in total. It consists of three spans with lengths of 21, 24 and 21 metres, and the clearances between the piers are 19, 22 and 19 metres. Two tram tracks run across the bridge.
The bridge lies at the heart of Wrocław's exhibition and park grounds, close to several of the city's most important attractions.
