Trzebnica Town and Municipal Public Library

Henryka Pobożnego 12/a, Trzebnica
About Trzebnica Town and Municipal Public Library

A public library in Trzebnica, operating since 1946 as part of the Municipal Centre of Culture and Art, with a catalogue on the MAK+ system.

Trzebnica Town and Municipal Public Library has operated since 1946 and is located at ul. Henryka Pobożnego 12a. The facility is part of the Municipal Centre of Culture and Art in Trzebnica, which also runs the Polonia 3D cinema and the town's cultural department, though the library has its own address, different from the centre's main seat at ul. Prusicka.

Catalogue and lending

The library uses the MAK+ library system, which allows readers to check book availability and manage loans electronically. This solution is used in Poland mainly by smaller public libraries, which do not have large-scale, commercial cataloguing systems.

Opening hours

The library department of the GCKiS operates from Monday to Saturday, with different hours on different days: on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturdays according to a schedule from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Wednesdays are reserved for internal library work, and the facility is closed to readers then. Before visiting it is worth calling to confirm the current schedule, because the hours of cultural facilities in smaller municipalities tend to change.
