About Tworzyjanów Palace

A baroque palace rebuilt around 1884 from an earlier, probably 16th-century, estate, with a four-hectare park with a pond.

Tworzyjanów Palace lies in the village of Tworzyjanów, in the Marcinowice municipality, in Świdnica County, not far from the Ślęża massif. It is a baroque residence whose present form is the result of a rebuilding at the end of the 19th century, which conceals an older, probably Renaissance, history.

A baroque palace with roots reaching back to the 16th century

The building takes its baroque form from a rebuilding around 1884. Before that, on the same site, stood a building probably dating from the 16th century, which served as the starting point for the 19th-century rebuilding. This explains why the palace appears in the heritage register as a 19th-century structure, even though its history reaches further back.

A park with a pond

The palace is surrounded by a four-hectare park with a pond, an integral part of the estate. The park, like the building itself, is under heritage protection as a separate register entry.

Heritage protection

The palace was entered in the heritage register under number A/4585/744/WŁ, the park under number A/4584/743/WŁ - both entries date from 8 November 1980.

Practical information

  • Address: the village of Tworzyjanów, Marcinowice municipality, Świdnica County.
  • Getting there: by car, in the vicinity of the Mount Ślęża massif, a few kilometres from Sobótka.
  • What to expect: the sources do not confirm the palace's current technical condition or its accessibility for visitors, so a visit is best limited to viewing from the outside; nearby it is also worth seeing the Ślęża Museum in Sobótka and the palace in Sobótka-Górka.
