The ruin of a palace from 1727 in Wielowieś, built by Christoph Gothard von Kreckwitz, in the Ścinawa municipality.
Wielowieś Palace, in a village in Lubin County belonging to the Ścinawa municipality, has survived to our times in ruins. It was built in 1727 under the patronage of Christoph Gothard von Kreckwitz, as a two-storey building on a rectangular plan.
After the founder, the estate changed owners several times. From 1830 it belonged to the von Frankenberg family, and after that date it passed into the hands of the von Lüttwitz family - their names also appear in the palace's former German name, Schloss des Herrn v. Frankenberg-Lüllwitz Bielwiese.
A description of the building from 1912 mentions a hipped mansard roof with dormer windows and a two-storey pseudo-projecting bay crowned with a semi-circular pediment in the so-called circulaire form. Today little remains of this form - a ruin through which it is difficult to reconstruct the original appearance of the facade.
The whole complex, that is the palace, the former residential-and-farm outbuilding, and the surrounding landscape park, is entered in the Ścinawa municipal register of monuments. This is a lower status than an entry in the heritage register, and the ruined condition means entering the building's interior is dangerous and inadvisable.
A similar fate befell the palace in Dłużyce and the palace in Ręszów, both within a few kilometres. Nature lovers will also find the Brekinia nature reserve here.
