Wolarz is a mountain in the Central Sudetes, in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, 854.93 metres above sea level. The peak lies in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in Kłodzko County, in the Szczytna municipality.
Wolarz is a broad, elongated peak, forming the culmination of a mountain massif on the northern edge of the Bystrzyckie Mountains. It rises above the Piekielna Dolina (Hellish Valley). Its slopes have stone screes and small rock outcrops.
The mountain is covered mainly by planted spruce forests, and in places by acidophilous mountain beech forests and altered fragments of fertile Sudetes beech forests.
The peak's name comes from its elongated shape, clearly visible from the valley of the Bystrzyca Dusznicka, which reminded local people of the back of a lying ox.
A dense network of forest roads runs across Wolarz. In the Rogoziniec valley they form a layout known as the Piekielny Labirynt (Hellish Labyrinth).
A few kilometres from the summit lies the Spa Park in Polanica-Zdrój.
In nearby Duszniki-Zdrój is the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdrój.
