Brick ruins of a 16th-century Renaissance castle, built on the site of a 14th-century Gothic stronghold, open to visitors.
Ząbkowice Śląskie Castle is a brick defensive building from the 16th century, built on the site of an earlier, 14th-century Gothic castle. Its ruins survive to this day and are open to visitors.
The first, Gothic defensive castle on this site dates from the 14th century. The present, Renaissance defensive building was erected in its place between 1522 and 1532, of brick. The castle is entered in the register of immovable heritage monuments of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, under entry numbers 482 from 1958 and A/5146/482 from 2011.
Ruins survive from the former complex. According to the source, they are open to visitors, but this is a site in a state of ruin, not a restored residence, so visitors should not expect preserved, enclosed interiors.
