A forested, two-summit ridge in the Śnieżnik Massif (808 and 778 m above sea level) with the yellow trail and a section of the E3 trail.
Zawada is a two-summit ridge in the Śnieżnik Massif, in the Sudetes, with peaks reaching 808 and 778 metres above sea level. It lies near the villages of Kamienica, Bolesławów and Nowa Morawa, in Kłodzko County.
The ridge is built of metamorphic rocks - schists and gneisses - and covered with lower montane spruce forest. The higher of the two summits reaches 808 m above sea level, the lower one 778 m above sea level.
Two trails cross the ridge of Zawada. The yellow trail has two variants: the western one runs along the valley of the Kamienica towards the eastern ridge of Śnieżnik through Głęboka Jama, and the eastern one leads directly along the ridge of Zawada and then along the Droga Staromorawska to Przełęcz Płoszczyna. In addition, the international long-distance E3 trail (the blue trail) crosses here via Przełęcz Staromorawska, linking the area around Stary Gierałtów with a PTTK mountain hostel.
Not far from Zawada, in Bolesławów, lies Góra Oliwna. Within a few kilometres are also Śnieżnik with its observation tower and the Bear Cave in Kletno.
