A baroque palace from 1791 in Żerków, currently derelict and under renovation, with a historic park featuring trees over 200 years old.
Żerków Palace, at Żerków 22A in Wołów County, was built in 1791. Today the building is derelict, but it is currently being renovated.
The palace was built in 1791 in the baroque style. In the 19th and early 20th centuries it was extended, and during this period a classicist portico supported on Ionic columns was added, among other things. The building has a C-shaped floor plan, is three-winged, single-storey with a basement, built of brick and rendered, with a complex roof structure and oval dormer windows.
Around 1840 a park of about 4 hectares was laid out around the palace, with trees over 200 years old, including a lime tree over 350 years old with a trunk circumference of 620 centimetres. The complex also includes farm buildings from the early 20th century: a former outbuilding, a granary, a barn with a residential section, a warehouse and a residential-farm building. The whole complex was entered in the heritage register in 1986.
