A cinema broadcast of the André Rieu and Johann Strauss Orchestra concert “It's Snowing!”. The show takes place at the Winter Palace in Maastricht. One highlight is the carol “Lulajże, Jezuniu”, performed in Polish.
The programme includes:
- carols,
- waltzes,
- festive hits,
- musical surprises, full of humour and emotion.
A 100-strong men's choir will take the stage carrying torches. The choir will accompany three sopranos singing “Lulajże, Jezuniu” in Polish. Emma Kok will sing the hit “Let It Snow!”. The performance is complemented by pairs of skaters, falling snow and elaborate staging.
The broadcast for Polish audiences will be hosted by Maja Jasińska, flautist with the Johann Strauss Orchestra and ambassador of André Rieu concerts in Poland. The show will include a behind-the-scenes look and an interview with André Rieu made specially for Polish cinema audiences.
Practical information: running time is 170 minutes, including one intermission. The version is in Polish and Dutch with Polish subtitles. The event is suitable for all ages. Seats in row XVIII in the main hall are less comfortable, as the gap to the row in front is small and the seat backs are shorter.
