The concert “The Earth Changes Colours” by the duo Ania Broda & Łukasz Stworzewicz takes place on 21 November 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Small Hall of the MUZA Culture Centre in Lubin. The programme is atmospheric and explores memory, the passing of time, love, and the people who remain with us despite their absence.
The title song was dedicated to Agnieszka Żelwetro, a resident of Lubin who died suddenly in 2025. Ania Broda wrote it during a stay in Cyprus. It became a personal musical memory and a story about what remains after an important encounter with another person. The concert combines Ania Broda's original music, traditional songs, poetry and jazz improvisation. The sound of Vilnius dulcimers (cymbały wileńskie) and hurdy-gurdy (lira korbowa) is complemented by Łukasz Stworzewicz's drums. The programme includes, among others:
- pieces inspired by the works of Jerzy Liebert and Maria Konopnicka,
- original songs “Tango Lumbago” and “Tango Alzheimer”,
- love songs,
- ballads,
- old Polish songs about the wandering of the soul,
- songs for those who are absent, i.e. musical memories of loved ones and important people.
Ania Broda is a vocalist, dulcimer player, composer and multi-instrumentalist who uses the white singing technique. Her work blends traditional music with folk, jazz, poetry and original songwriting. She composed the music for “Katharsis” in the film Chłopi (The Peasants), was a semi-finalist of Mam Talent 2015, and is an MKDIN scholarship holder. In September 2026 she performed a solo concert opening the Vaka Festival in Reykjavík (Iceland).
Łukasz Stworzewicz is a drummer, composer and arranger associated with the jazz and improvised music scene. He is a graduate of the Jazz Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice and leads the original project Silberman, which combines jazz, improvisation, contemporary chamber music and experimentation.
