“Cohen. From Darkness into Light” is a concert of the most popular hits and songs from Leonard Cohen's last three albums. The songs will be performed in singer-songwriter Marcin Styczeń's own translations, approved by the artist's heirs.
The programme leads through Cohen's world: from darkness to light, from doubt to hope, from whisper to prayer.
On the relationship between author and translator, Cohen said in one interview: “there is a certain specific kind of brotherhood between the person who writes and the other one who translates. I find it hard to express that gratitude in words, really...”
An evening devoted to words that still have power.
