“Flawless Will-o'-the-Wisps” is the latest production of the youth theatre group AnimAkcje, part of the Zdrojowy Teatr Animacji im. Bogdana Nauki in Jelenia Góra. The premiere took place on 23.06.2026.
The heroines are four teenage members of a sports team. On their way to an important match, their bus stops in the middle of a forest, and the girls get lost in a mysterious woodland where they meet heroines of Slavic legends. Their journey through a world of fairy tales, dreams, and fears becomes an attempt to answer questions about growing up, friendship, finding one's place in the world, and the right to make mistakes.
The script was written by playwright Katarzyna Matwiejczuk based on stories and ideas from the members of the AnimAkcje group. The director was Aga Ejsmont, a stage actress who also designed the set and costumes. The songs were arranged by Anna Bartoszewicz, Szymon Mackiewicz, and Aga Ejsmont. The performance uses wicker elements from the “Topielica” project, made available courtesy of Dorota Korczycka-Bąblińska.
