A parish church in Dzierżoniów set up in 1926 in a former inn from 1900, Catholic since 1948.
Christ the King Church on Nowowiejska Street in Dzierżoniów is a Roman Catholic parish church belonging to the Dzierżoniów deanery of the Diocese of Świdnica.
The building was erected in 1900 as the inn "Zum Schwarzen Bär" (Black Bear). In 1926 it was bought by pastor Teubner, who converted the southern part into a Protestant church and a care and educational centre with a school. The church remained Protestant until 1945, and in 1948 a Polish Roman Catholic parish was established here.
Between 1966 and 1970 the church was thoroughly renovated: the facade was restored, the electrical wiring was replaced and new interior polychromy was added. Between 1980 and 1985 the church was extended, and between 1985 and 2000 the organ, pews and the surface around the building were renovated.
