A kirkut on Bielawska street in Dzierżoniów, opened in 1825, with about 250 surviving gravestones.
The Jewish cemetery in Dzierżoniów is a kirkut on Bielawska street, founded in the first half of the 19th century and preserved to this day within the boundaries of a small plot between Armii Krajowej and Szpitalna streets.
The kirkut opened on 16 May 1825. It was established on a triangular plot covering up to 0.4 hectares. The oldest surviving gravestone dates from 1838, from a period when the cemetery had already been in use for a dozen or so years.
About 250 gravestones have survived in the cemetery. This makes it possible to reconstruct the layout of the kirkut and trace the forms of matzevot from various periods of its use in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Within a few kilometres of the cemetery is the Dzierżoniów City Museum, and a little further away a similar site from years past, the Jewish Cemetery in Bielawa.
