A palace of the von Tschammer family from 1895 in Czernina Dolna, today a private property with a renovated elevation and still-derelict interiors.
Czernina Dolna Palace, in Góra County, was built in 1895 as part of a larger manor-and-farm complex belonging to the von Tschammer und Quaritz family, owners of the local estate since 1650.
Above the first-floor windows there is a coat of arms of the von Tschammer family and the date 1895 on a ribbon - this is when the current palace building was constructed. The palace is entered in the heritage register under number A/3489/1121/A, dated 26 April 1988.
The building belongs to an extensive palace complex, which also includes a park laid out around 1900, a farm dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, two residential buildings, a residential-farm building, a cowshed, a barn, a forge and a granary from around 1800 with two additional farm buildings.
The building deteriorated after being vacated by its last tenants around 2011, when it still belonged to the State Treasury via the Agricultural Property Agency. The agency sold the property, and today the palace is privately owned. A slow renovation is under way: the elevations have already been renovated, but the interiors remain derelict. The building is not open to visitors.
