An observation tower on the summit of Gromnik (391 m above sea level), the highest elevation of the Strzelin Hills, once the site of a Ślężanie hillfort and a medieval castle.
The observation tower on Gromnik stands on the summit of Gromnik, the highest elevation of the Strzelin Hills, at 391 metres above sea level. The summit itself is built of granite and covered with beech and mixed forest.
The summit was once the site of a Ślężanie hillfort, dated to the 9th-10th century, and after 1439 a castle was built here by robber knights of the von Czirn family.
