A neighbourhood square in Złotniki with a green area and housing from 1919-1920 designed by Ernst May.
Kaliski Square lies in Wrocław in Złotniki, within the Leśnica estate. It is a small neighbourhood square: a loop of a municipal road 239 m long surrounding a green area shaped roughly like a semicircle, the whole occupying a plot of 2,525 m².
The buildings around the square were built in 1919-1920 as five pairs of semi-detached houses, numbered 1 to 10. They were built for farm labourers, as an example of cheap housing within the Złotniki-Żerniki estate designed by Ernst May. The original design was changed and simplified in 1920.
The road assigned to the square links Wielkopolska street with the loop around Kaliski Square and with Rajska street. The green area itself has planned plantings and an arrangement of vegetation, and within it stands a small green space with benches, a table-tennis table and a basketball hoop.
