A historic 17th-century palace surrounded by a six-hectare park, today a conference and hotel complex.
The Krotoszyce Palace is a historic residence in Legnica County, erected in the 17th century and, after several rebuildings, preserved to this day as part of a palace and park complex.
The palace was erected by Florian Gottlob von Thielau, who lived from 1663 to 1709, giving the building a Neo-Baroque character. A cartouche with the date 1686 was placed above the entrance, confirming the period of construction, along with the coats of arms of him and his wife, Anna von Siegroth und Schlawikau, who lived from 1656 to 1705.
The building underwent further rebuildings in the mid-19th century and in 1894, and was renovated in 1964. None of these changes altered the main shape of the building.
From 1945 to 1949 the palace was administered by Soviet troops, then it was taken over by the State Agricultural Farm, and later by the Agricultural Property Agency. After a thorough renovation of the entire palace and park complex, the palace has served as a conference and hotel complex since 2010.
A historic, six-hectare park stretches around the palace, and the complex also includes a residential house from 1890. Nearby, a monument of a similar type, the Warmątowice Sienkiewiczowskie Palace, can be found, and towards Dunino you can reach the Dunino Halloysite Mine.
