About Old Church of St Oswald in Krzywina

The ruin of a medieval church in Krzywina, of which only the eastern wall of the nave has survived.

The Old Church of St Oswald in Krzywina is the ruin of a medieval church, of which only a fragment of one wall stands today.

What remains of the building

Only the eastern wall of the nave has survived from the church. The rest of the building no longer exists, so there is nothing to visit inside on site - it is a relic visible in the landscape, not an active place of worship.

History

The church was built in the 13th or 14th century as a parish church dedicated to St Oswald. It was destroyed in 1451 during the Hussite Wars and has remained a ruin ever since.

What it looked like

According to the available findings, it was presumably a single-nave church, with a tower and a chancel.
