A Gothic filial church from 1488 in Skałka, in the Kąty Wrocławskie municipality, with baroque furnishings and a painting by Petr Brandl.
St Mary Magdalene's Church in Skałka is a Gothic filial church built in 1488, belonging to the parish of the Holy Trinity in Małkowice, in the Kąty Wrocławskie municipality.
The church was built in the late Gothic style as a single-nave, oriented brick building, with cross vaults in the chancel and nave. Over the following centuries the church was extended: around 1696 the structure was enlarged, in 1746 a baroque rebuilding was carried out and a tower was added, in 1872 a brick presbytery was built, and in 1904 the church underwent renovation.
Inside, rich baroque furnishings have survived: an oil painting, The Martyrdom of St Bartholomew, from 1731-1732 by the Czech painter Petr Brandl, a Gothic font, decorated organs, and Renaissance epitaphs.
The church was entered on the heritage register on 5 March 1965 under number A/1208/1255.
Towards Wrocław, at a similar distance from Skałka, lie Złotnicki Park and Park Leśnicki.
