Parish church in Osetno with its original structure from the second half of the 13th century, listed as a historic monument.
St Michael the Archangel's Church in Osetno is a Roman Catholic parish church whose original structure most likely dates from the second half of the 13th century.
The church is single-nave, built of stone and brick, and surrounded by a fieldstone wall. A five-storey tower on the west side, topped with a pyramidal spire, was added in 1862. Before that the church underwent successive extensions: in 1498 a chapel with a portal was added, and around 1550 the Tschammer family chapel. In 1653 the church returned to Catholic hands.
Inside, a portal from 1498 has survived, along with a Mannerist pulpit from 1622, Mannerist epitaphs in the crypt, and 16th-century polychromy. The interior was renovated in 1925 and again in 1970-1971.
The church is listed in the heritage register under number A/1114/813 from 13 December 1960. The parish was established in 1957, meaning the church has served as a parish church.
A few kilometres away stands the Bełcz Wielki Palace, and towards Góra you can reach the Corpus Christi Church in Góra.
