A reinforced concrete observation tower from 2014 in Suszyna, 27 metres high, with a platform at 22 metres and a panorama of several Sudetes ranges.
The observation tower in Suszyna is a reinforced concrete structure 27 metres high, built in 2014 in a small village in the Radków municipality, in Kłodzko County. Both the outer and inner surfaces of the tower are faced with sandstone cladding, which helps it blend into the surrounding landscape of the Table Mountains.
The tower has an internal cross-section of 6 by 6 metres, and its outer cladding is made of light, whitish-yellow Upper Cretaceous sandstone. The viewing platform, at a height of 22 metres, is reached by 140 steps.
The viewing platform offers a panorama of several mountain ranges at once: the Table Mountains, the Broumov Walls, Mount St Anne, the Mountain of All Saints, the Bardzkie Mountains, the Orlickie Mountains, the Owl Mountains, the Złote Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif. This wide view is due to Suszyna's location on the border of several ranges of the Central Sudetes.
The tower stands close to the observation tower on Grodziszcze, so the two viewpoints can be combined into a single trip around the surrounding hills. Also nearby is the Museum of Stones and Minerals in Suszyna.
