Teatralny Square

Teatralny Square lies in Wrocław, within the Old Town, and connects Świdnicka Street with Teatralna and Widok Streets. In German it was called Zwingerplatz.

Where the square came from

The square was created in the area of a former outer bailey, near the now vanished Świdnicka Gate.

What stands by the square

The Wrocław Opera stands on Teatralny Square, and the Wrocław Puppet Theatre and the Monopol Hotel are also in the immediate vicinity.
