An exhibition of toys from various decades in the centre of Szklarska Poręba, with LEGO bricks and retro games for hands-on play.
The Toy Museum in Szklarska Poręba is a small exhibition of toys from various decades, where visiting is combined with play. It is located on Jedności Narodowej Street, right in the town centre.
The exhibition includes doll collections, including Barbie and Monster High, miniature Hot Wheels cars, LEGO sets of varying complexity, and plush toys. Retro video games from earlier decades occupy a separate space.
Part of the museum is not just for looking at. Visitors can build with LEGO bricks themselves and play on retro gaming equipment, so a visit suits a longer stay than simply walking through the rooms.
The exhibition is designed as a family attraction, but it also appeals to nostalgia for childhood toys, so it reaches adult visitors without children too. It is a good option for a rainy day in Szklarska Poręba, when plans for the mountains have to be postponed.
In the area, it is worth combining the visit with the Mineralogical Museum or, if there are children in the group, with the Trollandia rope park and the Esplanada Family Amusement Park, which lie right nearby.
