An open-air museum in Kudowa-Zdrój with a historic windmill from 1902, pottery demonstrations, a forge, a bread house and a mini zoo.
The "Trail of Vanishing Trades" open-air museum in Kudowa-Zdrój is a privately run showcase farm where visitors can see old crafts and equipment in an outdoor setting, with a historic windmill as the main attraction.
The trail's central exhibit is a post windmill from 1902. The windmill was moved to the museum grounds in 2001 from the village of Potok.
On site there are pottery demonstrations and a forge, where visitors can watch craftsmen at work live. A separate attraction is the bread house, selling bread baked on the premises, which has won awards from the Ministry of Agriculture. The museum also runs a mini zoo with farm animals.
Next to the museum there are the so-called Kudowa Cottages, holiday cabins for visitors who want to stay in the area for longer than one day.
About 200 metres away stands the Skull Chapel in Czermna. In the Table Mountains range, not far from the open-air museum, lie Błędne Skały (Wandering Rocks) and Szczeliniec Wielki. Closer to the centre of Kudowa-Zdrój you can also visit the Interactive Museum of the Kłodzko Land.
