Interactive Museum of the Kłodzko Land

The Interactive Museum of the Kłodzko Land in Kudowa-Zdrój is a Polish-Czech institution devoted to the Kłodzko Land region, conceived as a museum where almost everything can be viewed in the form of interactive installations, rather than only behind the glass of a display case.

What the exhibition covers

The exhibition occupies over 600 square metres on two floors and is divided into eighteen themed rooms. The individual rooms refer to places and phenomena characteristic of the Kłodzko Land, including the Błędne Skały (Errant Rocks), the figure of the Forest Folk from local legends, and Lake Rozkos. Separate rooms are devoted to clouds and crystals, and there is also a storm simulation and a simulation of the conditions at the summit of Śnieżnik.

A hologram and a flashlight game

One of the attractions is a hologram of Liczyrzepa (Rübezahl), a figure known from local legends of the Kłodzko Land. The museum also offers the game "Secret Words of the Borderland": visitors are given UV flashlights, with which they uncover signs and letters hidden in the exhibition, leading to the solution of a shared password. The exhibition also makes use of VR applications and projection mapping.

Who it's for

The museum is aimed at whole families, both children and adults, as well as schools. The emphasis is on making the visit engage the senses, rather than relying on viewing static exhibits in display cases.

Nearby is the Toy Museum, as well as the Skull Chapel in Czermna. Also close by are the Museum of Minerals in Kudowa-Zdrój and the Kudowa Rope Park.
