About Warzęcha

A peak 793 m above sea level in the Suche Mountains, on a side ridge of Jeleniec, within the boundaries of the Wałbrzych Sudetes Landscape Park.

Warzęcha is a peak 793 m above sea level in the Suche Mountains, part of the Kamienne Mountains in the Central Sudetes, west of Głuszyca, in Wałbrzych County.

A side ridge of Jeleniec

The hill lies on a side ridge running south from Jeleniec. This is the same mountain group that also includes Rogowiec with the ruins of Rogowiec Castle.

Melaphyres and rock outcrops

Warzęcha is built of Permian melaphyres, that is, trachybasalts, belonging to the northern flank of the Intra-Sudetic Basin. On the western slopes of the hill there are small rock formations formed from the same volcanic rock.

Lower montane forest

The slopes are covered by a spruce forest typical of the lower montane zone, with an admixture of beech. The whole area lies within the boundaries of the Wałbrzych Sudetes Landscape Park, which covers the Suche Mountains range.
