Comedy by John Chapman and Jeremy Lloyd (original title: “Business Affairs”) at the Filharmonia Dolnośląska in Jelenia Góra, 30.01.2027 at 4:00 p.m. The play asks who really rules at home and who rules at the office, and whether business can be separated from family life.
Two friends and business partners are selling their transport company to German buyers. The deal is meant to secure them early retirement and life in two luxurious Spanish villas, and the deposit has already been paid. It is unclear, however, whether their wives share their enthusiasm. The negotiations were supposed to go smoothly, but the buyers expect a meeting in a hotel accompanied by two “escorts.” Suddenly, the partners’ wives appear in the hotel room.
Further mix-ups and misunderstandings force the wives to play confident, flirtatious “good-time girls.” The change affects their husbands and turns the situation upside down. The question remains whether they can save both the business and their marriages.
Cast (some roles have several performers):
Directed by Wojciech Błach. Costumes: Józefina Loy. Set design: Zuzanna Markiewicz. Audiences promise plenty of laughs, and the finale is meant to surprise.
