The Church of St Stanislaus, St Dorothy and St Wenceslaus stands in the southern part of the Old Town in Wrocław, on Świdnicka Street. It is a late Gothic hall church, originally monastic, now a parish church.
The church was originally built as the monastery church of the Augustinian hermits, and later became associated with the Franciscan order. Today it serves as the parish church of St Stanislaus, St Dorothy and St Wenceslaus.
The church is dated to the 14th century. It was built of brick, in the Gothic style, as a hall building, meaning one with aisles of similar height. This form distinguishes it from Wrocław's basilica-type parish churches.
The building is listed in the register of immovable heritage monuments. The listing comprises three successive decisions: from 1947, 1962 and 2004, showing that the building's conservation protection was confirmed and extended several times over that period.
The church stands next to the Wrocław Opera and lies close to the National Forum of Music. A few hundred metres away are the Town Hall and the Market Square, and towards the Oder, on the way to Tumski Bridge, you pass the Market Hall.
