Roman Catholic filial church of St George's parish in Dzierżoniów, set up in a former cemetery chapel from 1910.
The Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Dzierżoniów is a Roman Catholic filial church of St George's parish, standing on Wrocławska street. The building was constructed in 1910 as a cemetery chapel, and has served as a church since the 1980s.
The chapel was designed by architect Hermann Foerster and built in 1910 in the cemetery in Dzierżoniów. After the Second World War the building was used, among other things, for teaching religion to schoolchildren. In 1981-1982 the chapel was rebuilt and enlarged, changing its purpose to a church. It was consecrated on 7 October 1983 by Bishop Wincenty Urban.
The church is built of brick, single-nave, with one bell turret. The chancel was designed by Father Professor Jan Dębski, and the interior contains a permanent tabernacle.
A few hundred metres from the church lies the Jewish cemetery in Dzierżoniów.
Nearby you can also see the Dzierżoniów City Museum.
