Jedlina-Zdrój
About Kobiela

A summit of the Góry Czarne above Jedlina-Zdrój, where a viewing park with pavilions and monuments was laid out in the 19th century.

Kobiela is a summit in the southern part of the Góry Czarne, in the Central Sudetes, rising above Jedlina-Zdrój and screening the town's spa quarter from the south-west.

A park on the summit

In the 1840s a park was laid out on the summit to a design by C. C. Beinert, with pavilions, viewpoints and monuments.

Nearby

From Kobiela it is a short distance to the spa centre of Jedlina-Zdrój, where Jedlina-Zdrój Palace stands, and in the neighbouring range rise Zamkowa Góra and Borowa with its observation tower.

Practical information

  • Nearest village: Jedlina-Zdrój
  • Height: about 587-588 m above sea level
  • What to expect: a wooded summit with remains of a 19th-century viewing park; sources do not give a marked trail, so it is worth checking the approach route on a current map
