About Mieszkanie Gepperta

A contemporary art gallery in the former flat and studio of Hanna Krzetuska and Eugeniusz Geppert by Solny Square in Wrocław.

Mieszkanie Gepperta is a contemporary art gallery located on the first floor of the Heinrich von Rybisch tenement house, at the corner of Ofiar Oświęcimskich Street and Solny Square in Wrocław. It occupies the former flat and studio of the painters Hanna Krzetuska and Eugeniusz Geppert.

The Gepperts' flat and studio

The gallery space is the former flat and artistic studio of Hanna Krzetuska and Eugeniusz Geppert, painters linked to Wrocław's art scene. Before the place became a contemporary art gallery, it housed a museum devoted to the work of Eugeniusz Geppert, run by the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

Art Transparent Gallery

Since 2007 Mieszkanie Gepperta has been run by the Art Transparent Foundation for Modern Art. The gallery focuses primarily on contemporary art created mainly by young artists. It hosts exhibitions, lectures, private views and film reviews, and the place itself also serves as a meeting point for people connected with art, new media and literature.
