The calendar consists of three kinds of events: theatre, music and cabaret. The biggest group is concerts, from classical and film-music evenings, through recitals of musical numbers, to music shows and ballet. Theatre is mainly comedies and family shows, while cabaret means both group programmes and stand-up. The repertoire changes so fast that you can only check titles and dates in the current event list at the top of the page. Here you will find rules that help you choose an evening, without suggesting a particular show.
Most events in the portal’s calendar are held at the Kłodzko Cultural Centre (Kłodzki Ośrodek Kultury), the main stage of the town. The exception is sometimes a circus tent, where family circuses perform as guests. Each event shows the venue name, so you know at once where you are going.
You buy tickets with the “Buy ticket” button. It leads to KupBilecik or Bilety24, the organisers’ sales systems, not to a till on the portal. Check the details there: the time, any age limits and the refund rules. For big concerts and well-known shows seats go faster, so it is better to decide a few days ahead.
If you are coming from farther away, use the day. The County and Municipal Public Library is housed in the town hall building on Bolesława Chrobrego Square. It was founded in 1946 and has a Regional Knowledge Centre. Its collection holds about 100 thousand items, among them regional materials in German.
For the evening before a play or concert, something active helps. On the grounds of the Kłodzko Fortress there is the Historical Shooting Range: indoor, 25 metres long, with handguns, submachine guns and carbines.
