The calendar is dominated by music, and the second pillar is cabaret-style comedy. It is a good set when you want to leave the house without long planning: a concert for a calmer evening, a comedy show for laughs in a bigger group. Most happens at the Jaworski Ośrodek Kultury (Jawor Cultural Centre), the main address for concerts and shows. The second stage is the Teatr Miejski w Jaworze (Municipal Theatre), which appears in the calendar less often, which is exactly why it is worth watching. Before you leave home, read which of the two addresses is given for the event, because they can differ in entrance and in how seats are booked.
The calendar is updated continuously. If nothing suits you today, come back in a few days, because new dates are added during the season. When choosing, look not only at the title but also at the place and the hour: a concert at a cultural centre and a show in a theatre set a different rhythm for the evening. If you go as a group, buy the tickets together, and after the event leave yourselves time for a calm trip home.
Jawor has a preserved medieval street layout, so a walk before an event makes sense here, and near the shooting club described below you can see the Church of Peace (Kościół Pokoju). A good base is the Municipal Public Library on plac Seniora. It has a lending desk and access to digital collections: Legimi, Ibuk Libra, Polona and Academica. It also organises author meetings, poetry contests, guided walks around the town and literary evenings, sometimes with live music.
