Gaszów near Lwówek Śląski has a forest arboretum, a paintball field and an abandoned Protestant cemetery from 1866. Here is what to choose.

Where can you go for a walk in Gaszów?

The "Uroczysko-Piekiełko" dendrological garden is an arboretum of the Lwówek Śląski Forest District, set in the Włodzicki Forest, about 8 kilometres south-west of the Market Square in Lwówek Śląski. The park surrounds a forest lake that formed in an old clay pit. Entry is free.

Where can you play paintball near Gaszów?

Lost Paintball runs on land away from homes, between Bolesławiec and Lwówek Śląski. A covered spot with benches for about 40 people stands by the fire pit, so you can stay under a roof after the game whatever the weather. The field takes organised groups and smaller crews, for instance for birthdays or stag and hen parties.

What is left of the Protestant cemetery?

The Protestant cemetery was founded in 1866 for residents of three nearby villages. The last burial took place in 1945, after which the site was abandoned and a young forest grew over it. Of the neoclassical funeral chapel, built of local sandstone, only walls remain because the timber roof collapsed. Visit with respect and watch your step on the uneven ground.

The nearest larger destination is Lwówek Śląski, and among smaller villages see Gierczyn, Łupki and Ubocze.
