Things to do in Radków: a reservoir with swimming areas, an old beech forest in the Table Mountains and a mini golf course.
At Radków Reservoir, about 2 km southwest of town. It was built in the 1970s on the Czerwonogórski Stream as a leisure spot for coal miners from Nowa Ruda. Today it belongs to a recreation centre with two swimming areas designated every year, and from the shore you can see the Polish and Czech Table Mountains (Góry Stołowe). It is the easiest stop for a free afternoon.
Head for Wrota Pośny, about 3 km from the centre of Radków, along the Pośna river. It is a former nature reserve, now a strict protection zone inside Table Mountains National Park, only 3.89 hectares. You will find old Sudeten beech forest and the icicle fungus growing on fir trees, and the place is free. Because it is strictly protected, check the access rules before you set out.
At 13 Rekreacyjna Street you will find Adventure Mini Golf Radków: twelve courses with obstacles, a good break between hikes. It is normally open at weekends, groups can book, and it is best to confirm the hours before you arrive.
