Where can you see rocks near Idzików?
Pasterskie Skały (the Shepherds' Rocks) lie about 0.6 kilometres north of Idzików, at 590.6 m above sea level. They form a group of seven separate rock forms spread over about 200 metres, with vertical walls, spires and slabs up to 10 metres high. They are built of Upper Cretaceous sandstone and conglomerate. From the spot you see the valley of the upper Nysa Kłodzka.
How do you climb Przednia?
Przednia is 914 m high and rises above Idzików at the north-western edge of the Śnieżnik Massif, inside Śnieżnik Landscape Park. The European long-distance trail E3, known here as Albrecht's Way, runs over the summit. The peak is made of Śnieżnik gneiss, and on the northern slope the rock forms small cliffs. Lower montane forest of spruce, beech and hornbeam covers it all. It is a good goal for a solo hike.
What is the Sudetes Geo-route at Idzików?
The Śnieżnik gneiss outcrop is a geotourism stop with an information board, part of the Sudetes Geo-route (Geostrada Sudecka). Śnieżnik gneiss, a metamorphic rock with clear foliation, forms the bedrock of the Złote Mountains, the Bialskie Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif. It was originally granite.
