Oborniki Śląskie: the 120-hectare Grzybek park, the scenic Holtei Hill, the Nibylandia play centre and a library for rainy days.

Where can you walk in Oborniki Śląskie?

The "Grzybek" landscape and recreation park is a 120-hectare forest complex on the hills above the town, crossed by trails and an educational path. Woods and meadows cover the area, and loess gorges, ponds and streams vary the terrain. Highlights include the Seven Oaks Glade and the Beech Cathedral, and the remains of a former sanatorium survive. Entry is free.

Where can you see the town from above?

Holtei Hill is 217 metres high and is one of the viewpoints right outside the town. Also called Belweder, Krzyż and Pod Krzyżem, it rises in the Trzebnica Hills. A steel cross and a lookout gazebo stand on the summit. On the southern slope lies a boulder dedicated to Karl Holtei. It is a good goal for a solo walk.

What to do in Oborniki Śląskie when it rains?

Nibylandia is an indoor play centre at ulica Władysława Orkana 5 that also organises birthdays. The layout of its zones and the childcare rules are not confirmed, so check the offer and hours by phone. The Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz Library works together with the Oborniki Cultural Centre and the Astra cinema. It offers e-books through Legimi, a Discussion Book Club for adults and the "Mała Książka Wielki Człowiek" programme for the youngest.

Explore the wider area through Trzebnica and Żmigród.
