a gneiss summit on a side ridge above Goworów, with picturesque rock formations above the Goworówka
a 695-metre, cone-shaped summit forming a lateral ridge of the Śnieżnik Massif above Goworów
Attractions in Goworów: three peaks of the Śnieżnik Massif inside Śnieżnik Landscape Park, Niedźwiedź, Nowak and Pątnik.
Niedźwiedź is 702 m high and lies in the Śnieżnik Massif, by the E3 trail. It forms a broad but faintly marked, levelled ridge. The northern slope falls towards the Goworówka valley, the southeastern one towards the Jodłówka, and from the west the terrain drops steeply along a fault. Mind the name: it means a mountain in Kłodzko County, not the stone sculpture from the top of Ślęża, which has its own entry on the portal.
On Nowak, a wooded peak of 700 m. It used to be called Neutzlerberg or Nowacka Kopa. Śnieżnik gneiss forms the rock, creating a row of picturesque crags above the Goworówka. Nowak sits on a side ridge, so people rarely choose it as a separate goal; better to link it with another summit.
Pątnik is a cone-shaped hill, 695 m, rising above the village of Goworów. Lower-montane spruce forest covers the slopes. German sources knew it as Wendlerberg, Franzensberg and Franzenshöhe. The region is a popular target for walks around the Śnieżnik Massif.
All three mountains are free and carry the Solo and Scenic Views tags. You can also find the peaks on the page about mountains in Goworów. In the area you can add Kłodzko, Kudowa-Zdrój, Nowa Ruda or Lądek-Zdrój.
