Things to do in Rędziny: three high summits of the Rudawy Janowickie, Stróżnik, Dzicza Góra and Bielec, two of them without trails.
Which summit near Rędziny is the highest?
Dzicza Góra, 880.8 m above sea level, the second-highest summit of the Rudawy Janowickie after Skalnik. It lies on the main ridge, between Wołek and Bielec. The sources describe it as closed to tourists, and the view opens thanks to cleared slopes. On the Rędziny side, on the eastern arm, old workings and quarries remain.
Can you reach Bielec without a trail?
Bielec is 871.3 m high and the fourth-highest summit of the range. No marked path leads to the top. The nearest one is Grzbietowa Road, which passes about 50 metres below the summit, so the final climb is short and unmarked. In the same range, a few kilometres further, rises Skalnik, and the ruin of Bolczów Castle stands nearby.
Where to begin with an easier goal?
Stróżnik (808 m) lies on a side ridge between Wielka Kopa and Dzicza Góra, in the Rudawy Landscape Park. Forest covers almost the whole hill, with meadows, pastures and fields lower down. Wielka Kopa and the Colourful Lakes are close by. The old German name was Wache Berg.
