Attractions in Jarkowice: four forested peaks of the Lasocki Ridge in the Karkonosze, from Średniak (843 m) to Borowa Góra (1056 m).

Which peak above Jarkowice is the highest?

Borowa Góra is 1056 m high and lies in the northern part of the Lasocki Ridge. It joins Łysocina to the west and Bielec to the east. Two hiking trails cross the summit, including the yellow one from Jarkowice to Łysocina. Gneiss and mica schist form the rock, and the whole massif is wooded.

Bielec is 931 m high. Germans used to call it Weißberg. On the summit and on the ridge falling to the east stand gneiss and amphibolite crags known as the White Rocks (Białe Skały). The yellow trail from Jarkowice leads in its direction.

Where does the blue trail to the Okraj Pass run?

Over Dzwonkówka. It is a wooded peak in the fork of the Złotna river and its tributary, the Biały Strumień. On the Karkonosze side Śnieżka rises nearby, and closer to Kowary lie the Kowary Adits and the Podgórze Mine. Średniak (843 m) is the lowest of the four: a short side arm running east from Łysocina, covered by upper-montane spruce forest, with steeply cut valleys on both sides.

All four peaks carry the Solo tag and are free. You will find them on their own on the page about mountains in Jarkowice. Beyond the mountains choose Kamienna Góra, Lubawka, Błażejów, Chełmsko Śląskie or Krzeszów.
