Mountains in Opawa means Owczarka, Pańska Góra and Kopczyk: three peaks from 664 to 796 m, free to enter and good for a solo walk.

How to choose a peak to climb?

For height and rock: Owczarka, 796 m. It is built of gneiss and amphibolite, and the Golden Gate and Kolebki stand next to it. The whole hill belongs to the Lasocki Ridge in the Karkonosze, in the southern part that runs off from Kopina. The western slopes fall steeply towards the Srebrnik valley, the eastern ones more gently towards Opawa. The hill lies west of the village, in Kamienna Góra County.

Is there a trail up Pańska Góra?

No. Pańska Góra is 756 m high with the Kolebki rocks and a chapel on the slope, but no trail is marked to the summit. In the south-west it joins Owczarka, and in the east it neighbours Tylna Góra, Książęca Kostka and Przednia, the farthest-reaching hills of the Lasocki Ridge. The northern slopes drop steeply into the Srebrnik valley, the southern ones gently towards Opawa.

What is left of the old lime kiln?

The remains of the kiln lie west of the summit of Kopczyk (664 m). Lime was burned there from local stone, that is from layers of crystalline limestone, marble. The slopes also have rocks called Co Góra. Kopczyk is a side summit of the Lasocki Ridge, set between the Opawa valley to the north and the Ostrężnik valley to the south.
