Mountains in Łączna: Dziób, Drogosz, Rogal and Mielna, four forested peaks of the Zawory range in the Table Mountains, close to the Czech border.

How do the peaks of the Zawory range differ?

All four are built of similar rock: Upper Cretaceous sandstone and mudstone, and in the lower parts red Triassic sandstone. They differ in height and position. Dziób is the highest, with two summits of about 693 and 686 m, and lies near Łączna and Mieroszów. A spruce forest covers it.

Drogosz (about 681 m) takes up the northern part of the range, east of the Róg massif. It forms a ridge running east-west that joins Chochoł in the east. It lies within the Radków municipality.

Which peak is closest to the border?

Mielna, a small peak of about 662 m, rises right by the Czech border, southeast of the village of Łączna. It forms a short north-south ridge, and reddish Triassic sandstone shows beneath the Upper Cretaceous rock. The lowest is Rogal, about 639 m, near Łączna.

Each of them carries the Free, Scenic Views and Solo tags, so you can fit them into separate solo outings. If you want to see something else, go to the page about attractions in Łączna or look at mountains across the region. More ideas: Jedlina-Zdrój, Szczawno-Zdrój and Głuszyca.
