In two ways. The first is Lwówek Switzerland, a group of sandstone rock formations south-east of the centre, at 250-260 metres above sea level. The area lies in the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park and is also called the Lwówek Rocks. Fissures and cliffs reach 30 metres, making it the tallest natural sandstone formation in the Sudetes outside the Table Mountains. The shapes were carved by frost weathering of red Triassic and grey Cretaceous sandstones. The effect resembles formations known from the Table Mountains.
The City Park, also called the Jordan Park, lies in the western part of town between Partyzantów, Oświęcimska and Sikorskiego streets and Wojska Polskiego avenue. It covers 2.90 hectares and is the largest city park in Lwówek. It was laid out in the 19th century as an English garden, meaning free-flowing greenery without geometric rows of trees. A revitalisation finished in 2019 restored the town ponds. The grounds also held a former Jewish cemetery.
All are tagged as free, and all call for a quiet, respectful visit. The Soviet Soldiers Cemetery from 1947 is a collective burial ground of 172 soldiers in 42 graves. The First World War victims monument from 1922 stands in the town gardens. Sculptures of a woman and a man decorate the pylons of the semicircular wall, a warrior figure lies at the centre, and a German inscription is carved in the stone. The Jewish cemetery opened in 1815 and was destroyed in 1968. No gravestones remain.
