Free attractions in Błażejów are six peaks of the Krucze Mountains where you need no ticket, only a map and good boots.
All six places on this list are hills in the Krucze Mountains, in the southern part of the range, in the Kamienna Góra district. The highest is Końska Góra (813 m), with Wiązowa (800 m according to Wikipedia) and Pośrednia (789 m) just behind. Lower are Gołota (762 m) and Widok (712 m). The sixth is Owcza Głowa, whose flat top has no clearly marked highest point.
Best at Owcza Głowa, because across its western slope run a yellow hiking trail from the Krzyżówka BHP pass to the Polish-Czech border and a green cycling trail through the middle of the Krucze Mountains. The green one starts and ends in Lubawka. This layout lets you enter the hills without paying for entry and without guessing the direction. For the other summits the sources give no marked routes, so prepare a map and check the approach in advance. For Gołota the approach is given through the surroundings of Chełmsko Śląskie and Kamienna Góra.
Pick two or three neighbouring hills instead of one distant one. Pośrednia and Gołota stand side by side, and Końska Góra lies less than a kilometre from Wiązowa. Wiązowa, Pośrednia and Końska Góra are built of Permian porphyry. Nearby you will also find Krucza Skała and the Kruczy Kamień nature reserve. Bring water and check the forecast before you go. Wiązowa has the German name Ulmen Berg and lies about 3.8 km from Krucza Skała, so reaching the rock takes a while. Pośrednia is made of trachyte, and its slopes carry spruce and in places beech. Gołota neighbours Końska Góra and Mrowiniec, so three goals fit into one outing.
