Scenic views in Błażejów mean the ridges of the Krucze Mountains, the Czech border on Końska Góra and trails across Owcza Głowa.
Where do you look for views in the Krucze Mountains?
All six peaks on this page carry the tag, but not every description mentions a viewpoint. Because of its position, Końska Góra (813 m) is first in line. It sits on the border ridge, and its summit lies on the Polish side. It joins Jaworowa on the north and Mrowiniec on the south. Not much lower stands Wiązowa (800 m according to Wikipedia), set between Głazica and Jaworowa.
Which summit suits a calm walk with a map?
Pośrednia (789 m) and Gołota (762 m) are neighbours, so you can see both in one outing. Gołota rises on the ridge between Owcza Głowa and Pośrednia. Widok (712 m) has a slightly different character, placed on a ridge running north-east from Końska, with two side branches towards Golicowa Kopa and Długa Góra. Owcza Głowa has a flat, wide top, and across its western slope run two trails, a yellow hiking one and a green cycling one.
How do you plan a trip for the views?
Choose a day with good visibility and start on the trail over Owcza Głowa, since it is marked. Select the remaining summits from the map. Do not expect tourist infrastructure: the sources list no towers or platforms here. Instead, Krucza Skała and the Kruczy Kamień nature reserve lie nearby. Końska Góra is called Pferde Berg in German and is covered in spruce forest. Pośrednia is built of trachyte and Wiązowa of porphyry, the latter once known as Ulmen Berg. Less than a kilometre separates Wiązowa from Gołota and Końska Góra, so they can be joined into one route. Widok neighbours Bógdał and shares an area of the Krucze Mountains with Gołota.
