Błażejów solo means six places in the Krucze Mountains you can tackle alone: peaks with a map and two marked trails.
Why are the Krucze Mountains good for a solo trip?
The Solo tag marks places that need no company and no booking. Here they are peaks with a few trails, with no gates or queues. You walk at your own pace and, if needed, turn back the way you came. You book nothing and do not have to fit around opening hours. Błażejów lies in the Kamienna Góra district and is the nearest reference point for Gołota and Pośrednia. Build your plan on a map, because for most of the hills the sources describe no marked route.
Which trail should you start with?
Most reliably Owcza Głowa. Across its western slope run a yellow hiking trail from the Krzyżówka BHP pass to the Polish-Czech border and a green cycling trail through the middle of the Krucze Mountains, starting and ending in Lubawka. The top is flat and wide, with no clear highest point, so do not look for a summit board. Next, if you feel up to it, move on to Gołota (762 m), which lies between Owcza Głowa and Pośrednia. The next goal is Pośrednia (789 m).
How do you make a one-day route?
The second option is a day by the border. Begin with the lowest, Widok (712 m) between Owcza Głowa and Skowrończa, then climb to Końska Góra (813 m), which sits on the Polish-Czech border ridge although its summit is on the Polish side. Wiązowa (800 m according to Wikipedia) is less than a kilometre from Gołota and Końska. Tell someone where you are going and plan your return before dark. Pośrednia has slopes with spruce forest and beech, and Końska Góra is built of porphyry and rhyolitic tuff. On a solo trip preparation is what counts: a map, water and a known return time. Krucza Skała lies about 3.8 km from Wiązowa, and the Kruczy Kamień nature reserve spreads beside it.
