Which reserve protects old-growth forest and which one a cave?
Puszcza Śnieżnej Białki is a forest reserve in the Białe Mountains, created in 1963 on 124.68 hectares. It lies on the eastern slope of Iwinka, below Rudawiec, at 980 to 1,000 m above sea level. It protects lower-zone beech forest and upper-zone spruce forest. One part of the reserve is a natural deciduous forest, regarded as a relic of the old Sudeten wilderness.
The Bear Cave nature reserve has existed since 1977 and is an inanimate-nature reserve of the geological and soil type. It protects the cave formations, finds of Pleistocene animal bones and karst features. It lies about 2.5 km south of Kletno.
Where do the trails not lead?
Nowa Morawa was created in 1971 on 22.16 hectares. It protects old spruce forest with Sudeten spruce and a fragment of acidic mountain beech forest. No marked tourist trails lead inside, so for a trip choose the other places instead.
