Kudowa-Zdrój with kids means a pool with a water slide, a rope park, a play hall and museums. See what to pick in good weather and when it rains.
Where can children burn off energy in Kudowa-Zdrój?
Most movement comes from the Kudowa Rope Park on Park Hill. It has three routes: green for children, with no limit on time or number of runs, medium for teenagers and adults, and high for the experienced. The whole family can be on the ropes at once, each at their own level. The park also takes organised groups all year round.
When it rains, head for Capitalna Zabawa on Jana Matejki Street. The hall covers 372 square metres, and its heart is a three-level climbing structure 7 metres high, with dozens of attractions. Parents can sit in a cafe with homemade pastries, and the place also organises birthday parties.
What about water, museums and open-air museums?
The Wodny Świat aquapark sits in the centre of the spa. The water is saline, close to the Baltic in salt content, and is not chlorinated. The complex has a swimming pool, a shallow paddling pool for the youngest, a 92-metre water slide and a recreation pool with water massages, geysers and an artificial river. A sauna and a bowling alley with two lanes are also available.
Quieter options include the Toy Museum with over 10,000 exhibits, the Trail of Vanishing Trades open-air museum with its 1902 windmill, pottery and a mini zoo, and the Museum of Folk Culture of the Sudeten Foothills in Pstrążna with its wooden buildings.
How do you plan a day with kids?
Combine one active place with one calm one: rope park or aquapark in the morning, a museum or open-air museum in the afternoon. Check hours and prices before you leave. Children tire quickly, so do not plan more than two stops, and check age and height limits for the pool and rope park on the venue's own site, as we do not list them here.
