Legnica for families: trampolines, play centres, a rope park and a gallery with workshops. Here is how to build a day out with the kids.

What can the whole family do in Legnica, not just the children?

A good starting point is the Art Gallery on Katedralny Square. It shows exhibitions of painting, art jewellery and photography, and runs workshops for visitors in its open studio. Entry to the exhibitions is free. The gallery carries the family, couples and rainy-day tags, so parents get something out of it too.

When the kids have energy to burn, head for Jump Heaven on Fabryczna Street. The trampoline park has a climbing wall, a foam pit and air cushions, and on the trampolines you can play dodgeball or volleyball. Adults can jump along with the children.

Where can you leave a child to play and rest for a while?

At Xtreme KiDS in Gwiezdna Gallery, children from 0 to 12 play while the Xtreme Fitness club next door lets a parent work out. Kinderplaneta in the Ferio centre has slides, art workshops and meetings with animals. Peter Pan Academy on Kasjopei Street offers LEGO bricks, robotics and first coding. Children from three can play there alone, younger ones with a carer. Xtreme KiDS also has separate creative zones for children of different ages, and Kinderplaneta organises birthday parties too.

And if the weather is good?

Go out to the "Na Zosinku" rope park. It has trampolines, a rope trail, a zip line and swings for several people at once, and some routes hang lower for children who are afraid of heights. For a short walk the playground on Orła Białego Avenue will do, an ordinary neighbourhood one with no confirmed equipment. The City Park is a few hundred metres from there.

Younger children have a separate page, Legnica for children, and a plan for a gloomy day is in Legnica on a rainy day. The full overview of the city is on the Legnica attractions page.
